Troopers need help finding driver who hit, killed pedestrian in Dixie County

DIXIE COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian.

Troopers say a white man was found dead on the east shoulder of Southeast 552nd Street, just south of Highway 19 in Dixie County, on Saturday, March 9, around 8:45 a.m.

FHP says investigators are still attempting to determine exactly where the collision occurred.

Troopers identified the man as a 35-year-old from Old Town.

FHP says they don’t know the make and model of the vehicle involved. They ask that anyone who has any information about the driver and/or the vehicle to call the FHP Communications Center at 1-800-387-1290.
