LADY LAKE, FL (352today.com) – National Vietnam War Veterans Day is March 29. It recognizes and remembers of a pivotal moment in history and acknowledges the valor, service, and sacrifice of Vietnam War veterans.
Recently, the town of Lady Lake honored its Mayor Ed Freeman for his service during the Vietnam War.
Freeman served in the U.S. Army from April 1969 to May 1971. As a Chief Warrant Officer 2 (CW-2), he piloted Hueys for an aeroscout company in B Company, 123rd Aviation Battalion, 23rd Infantry Division, Chu Lai base, Republic of Vietnam.

Recently, Mayor Freeman’s contributions were celebrated at a Vietnam veterans award ceremony at Recreation Plantation.
The Town of Lady Lake says more than 100 veterans were in attendance, along with their spouses and widows. Col. Patrick Cramer and Maj. Gen. Edward Chrystal presented a commemorative pin to Freeman and all veterans present, symbolizing the nation’s gratitude for their service.
