MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says a Marion County school bus was involved in an accident Thursday morning.
Troopers say the school bus which was carrying 50 students was traveling east on County Road 326 and began to slow down as it approached a bus stop. They say behind the school bus was a 28-year-old from Ocala driving a Mercedes.
FHP says the driver failed to slow down and stop and ending up hitting the back of the school bus.
Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) responded to the scene to evaluate the occupants of both the school bus and the vehicle for minor injuries.
