The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting unsettled weather for North Central Florida and forecasting two rounds of strong to severe storms for Friday.
The potential hazards include damaging wind gusts of 50-70 mph, hail, isolated tornadoes, and frequent lightning strikes.
Once the disruptive weather moves through, that clears the way for the rest of the weekend.
The only showers expected for the remainder of the weekend will be on Sunday, May 12, (ahem, Mother’s Day) and they’ll be the showers of love we pour on our moms.
