OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Though most people have been enjoying summer since school let out in May, meteorologically speaking this is the first weekend of summer. Let’s not get all technical though.

If you’ve lived in Florida for more than a year, you know summer is the rainy season and well that means we just have to expect that at any time we could be dodging showers or thunderstorms. And, there’s a pretty good chance of both in the forecast this weekend.

Tropical activity from Invest 92-L in the Atlantic will bring impacts to coastal communities in Northeast Florida. Rough surf, dangerous rip currents, gusty winds and heavy rainfall are expected along Florida’s East Coast.
