OCALA, FL (352today.com) – UPDATE, 11:24 p.m.: Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) says they received a call about an explosion at the Classic Laundromat around 6:19 p.m. on Tuesday.

OFR says when crews got on the scene smoke and flames were coming from the laundromat.
First responders say four people were hurt in the incident, two of them had to be transported to the hospital for further medical attention.
Once the fire was extinguished, OFR says inspectors assessed the building’s structural integrity and deemed the laundromat and seven adjacent shops unsafe for regular operations.
The State Fire Marshal and OFR inspectors are investigating the cause of the explosion.

ORIGINAL, 9:15 p.m.: Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) is on the scene of an explosion at a laundromat at Northeast 25th Avenue.

OFR says four people were injured in the blast.

As of 9 p.m., OFR reports NE 25th Avenue is blocked at Northeast 14th Street.
