MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) battled through flames and smoke on Wednesday night to put out a fire at a convenience store.

Units responded to the blaze at a Marathon gas station in the 9400 block of SE Maricamp Road in Ocala around 11:30 p.m. MCFR says a 911 caller in the area reported the fire.

Firefighters say they arrived at the store a little before midnight to find the 2,000-square-foot commercial structure engulfed in flames.

They say it only took them a few minutes to get it under control.

MCFR says the store was closed and no one was hurt.
