OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Firefighters were dispatched to a recreational vehicle (RV) fire on Sunday, Sept. 1.

Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) received a call about a fire in the 5200 block of SE 26th Ave. in Ocala around 8:25 a.m. They say that the 911 caller described a scene where a home across from them was on fire and the flames were spreading quickly.

When firefighters from Shady Station #16 arrived at 8:32 a.m., they say they found an RV completely engulfed in flames. They quickly set up a hose and began fighting the fire. Help soon came from Rolling Greens Station #28 to assist with the fire in the thick woods nearby. Battalion Chief #3 also arrived to take charge of the firefighting operations.

By 9:01 am, the firefighters had managed to get the fire under control. No injuries were reported. Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
