According to FHP, they received a call around 1:36 p.m. about a semi-truck that caught on fire on the turnpike southbound at mile marker 286 in Groveland.
They say that they responded to the scene to find a 2007 semi tractor-trailer engulfed in flames.
FHP says the driver of the vehicle, a 63-year-old man from Tampa, escaped uninjured and that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
