OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The College of Central Florida (CF) is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Nursing degree program.
The college will host a special event on Wednesday, October 30, to honor the decade-long milestone.
CF says award-winning photographer and filmmaker Carolyn Jones will be in attendance to present “The American Nurse: Moving the Needle on the Most Important Issues of Our Time.” Jones is known for creating the book and documentary film of the same name.

CF says the event is scheduled to take place at the Dassance Fine Arts Center, 3001 S.W. College Road at 6 p.m. The center is located at the college’s Ocala campus.
“CF’s RN to BSN program provides a valuable education for registered nurses who are ready to take their career to the next level,” says Dr. Stephanie Cortes, vice president of health sciences. “We are celebrating 10 years of supporting nurses who choose to pursue advanced clinical positions and nursing faculty positions as well as meet the need for more primary care nurses in our community.”
The college invites the public to attend the event and learn more about the role of nurses in the U.S. healthcare system.
