HERNANDO COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) says the roads around the Hernando Beach area remain “impassable” from historic flooding caused by Hurricane Helene.

The department released some photos of the coastal area showing the asphalt of the road covered by a sheet of water.

The department says that Withlachoocee River Electric Cooperative (WREC) is on the scene and attempting to repair power amidst the intense flooding.
