On Monday night, Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) firefighters were dispatched to an animal rescue call in the 4700 block of SW 143 Loop in Ocala.

The 911 caller told dispatch that his dog, Bella, fell into a hole approximately 14 feet deep.

Responders arrived shortly after to find Bella trapped in the hole.

MCFR says they lowered a rescuer into the cave to retrieve Bella.

The rescue mission was successful, as responders removed Bella from the cave and into the safe arms of her owner.
