CITRUS COUNTY, FL – Citrus County is coming together to help those who are still without power and water.
Citrus County is providing free meals to those affected by Hurricane Helene in two locations today:
- Homosassa Civic Club, 5530 S. Mason Creek Rd., Homosassa
- Ozello Volunteer Fire Department, 14300 W. Ozello Trail, Crystal River
Meals will be offered in Homosassa beginning at 12 p.m. and in Crystal River beginning at 12:30 p.m.
The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) shares that US Senator Marco Rubio stopped by the site in Homosassa earlier today to thank the Citrus County Emergency Response Team (CERT) for their volunteer service.

The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) is also pitching in with a food donation drive.
