BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com)—This year, 10,000 people attended Belleview’s Trunk or Treat event, which the city calls an “unprecedented” success.

“It was amazing to see so many families come together at Lake Lillian for this year’s Trunk or Treat. Events like these are vital for creating a strong sense of community here in Belleview,” said Robert Vass, the city’s events and promotions manager.

The event featured over 50 decorated trucks distributing sweets and scares to trick-or-treaters.

The Public Works Department provided hayrides, inflatable games, music, and a foam pumpkin decorating station. The city said nearly 400 pumpkins were decorated in under three hours at the event.

The Orange Blossom Gardens (OBG) Lions Club, in collaboration with the Ocala Fort King Lions Club, provided the pumpkins.

“Seeing the joy on children’s faces as they created their own pumpkin designs is a wonderful reminder of how small acts can make a big impact,” said Barbara Crewell, President of the Orange Blossom Gardens Lions Club. “Our commitment to serving the community is at the heart of events like these. For us, there’s nothing more rewarding than bringing families together and knowing we’ve added a little more happiness and excitement to their lives.”

The city highlights 10 sponsors, including Gary Yeomans Ford Villages, the main sponsor, who helped make the event possible.

Other sponsors included:

“We are grateful for the support of Gary Yeomans Ford Villages, our staff, and all our sponsors for helping bring this wonderful event to life. Belleview is a city that values family, friendship, and community, and Trunk or Treat is a perfect reflection of that spirit,” said Vass.

The city suggests looking for upcoming events, including Light Up Lake Lillian on Saturday, December 7, that hopes to bring a similar turnout.
