BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com)—Have you ever admired the variety of colors and designs on a business’s front porch? If not, the City of Belleview has done it for you.
The city announced the winners of its annual #BeautifulBelleview contest on Tuesday. The city labels the contest as a “community-wide initiative” that encourages local businesses to enhance the look and appeal of their property.
This year, the city announced three winners, along with a quick synopsis of why they were selected:

3rd Place: Color Your World Lawn and Garden (6040 SE Agnew Rd, Belleview, Fl 34420):
- There’s a whole lot of green to be grateful for at the Color Your World Lawn and Garden. The city praised the local lawn and garden center for its “thoughtful” landscaping, adding that the plantings around the property blend well with the center’s plant-based business style.

2nd Place: Ellianos Coffee
- The city says the seasonal decorations and fall flower display in front of Ellianos Coffee create a warm, festive atmosphere deserving of second place.

1st Place: Ms. Steve’s Ice Cream
- The city was stunned by the fresh pink-and-red paint, which they say catches the eyes of visitors and locals alike.
Belleview Mayor Christine Dobkowski will present award certificates to the three winners at the City Commission meeting on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 6:00 PM at City Hall.
The winners will also receive gift cards in amounts based on their standing:
- 1st Place: $100 gift card
- 2nd Place: $75 gift card
- 3rd Place: $50 gift card
“The #BeautifulBelleview contest is a perfect example of how small, creative projects can significantly impact the look and feel of our city,” says Mayor Dobkowski. “Ms. Steve’s Ice Cream, Ellianos Coffee, and Color Your World Lawn and Garden have gone above and beyond in making Belleview more beautiful, and their efforts exemplify the strong community spirit we are so proud of.
The City’s Events and Promotions Manager, Robert Vass, further expressed excitement about the initiative’s success.
“The response to this contest has been inspiring. These businesses didn’t just enhance their properties—they contributed to a ripple effect of positivity and pride in our community,” says Vass. “Their efforts remind us all of the importance of working together to make Belleview a place we can all take pride in.”
