GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – UPDATE Oct. 1 Gainesville Police Department has indicated they have located the vehicle wanted in connection with a deadly hit and run.
GPD posted the update on its Facebook page on Saturday, Sept. 30. 352today is working to get more information and will update this story as soon as we have new details.
UPDATE Sept. 29: The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) has released a new photo of the vehicle involved in a hit and run that killed a pedestrian earlier this month.
The photo from surveillance cameras shows the car has a large dent above the passenger-side headlight. GPD says “the hood on the passenger side is crimped up, and there is damage to the windshield on the passenger side.”
ORIGINAL: The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) has identified the car involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident on Friday.
The accident happened in the area of 3300 Clark Butler Blvd. around 3:30 p.m.

Police say the vehicle in this photo sped through a parking lot, hit a pedestrian and took off.|

Police say it’s a light green 2010 Hyundai Sonata with Florida license plate #Y49OVQ with VIN #5NPET4ACXAH644770.
Police believe there will be heavy damage to the front of the vehicle.
