SILVER SPRINGS, FL (352today.com) – A family of seven has been displaced following a house fire.
Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) units were dispatched to a Silver Springs home at 8900 SE 88th Lane, Ocala.
The 9-1-1 caller informed dispatch of a fire in the home’s attic space.
MCFR units arrived on the scene 10 minutes after they were dispatched. As responders entered the structure, hose lines were quickly deployed.
The fire was called under control just nine minutes after their arrival. MCFR attributed the cause of the fire to being “electrical in nature.”
No injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters.
MCFR reports that the family of seven was displaced by the fire but was able to retrieve many of their belongings before making a quick escape.
