OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The Ocala Police Department (OPD) is saying goodbye to a key member of its team, Warren Schlick, as he enters a well-earned retirement after 17 years of service.
Schlick joined OPD in July 2007 and has been an integral part of the department’s IT team, ensuring that its technology systems operate seamlessly. From computer configuration and troubleshooting to network connectivity and repair, his skills and expertise have been a cornerstone of OPD’s operations.

“Warren has been a go-to expert for ensuring our technology systems run smoothly,” OPD shares in a Facebook post. “From computer configuration and troubleshooting to network connectivity and repair, his expertise has been invaluable.”
In a comment on OPD’s Facebook page, the Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office commented, “Congratulations on your well-deserved retirement, sir! Thank you for nobly serving our community for the past 17 years.” It is a sentiment echoed by many, co-workers and community members, who also left congratulatory comments for Schlick.

Now, OPD says that Schlick is looking forward to an exciting new chapter: traveling across the country with his wife. His colleagues at OPD express that they are both happy for his next adventure and sad to see him go.
