MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) — The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is inviting local residents to join its Citizens Academy and Partnership (CAP) program, a free 7-week course designed to give participants a deeper understanding of the agency’s operations. Registration is now open for the February 2025 session.
The program will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., beginning on February 25, 2025, at the MCSO Multi-Purpose Room, 3300 NW 10th Street, Ocala.

Throughout the course, MCSO staff will provide detailed presentations on various units within the agency, including law enforcement, investigations, detention, and administration. Participants will explore specialized equipment, learn about policies and procedures, and hear from expert personnel about their roles in serving the community.
