OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) was called to extinguish a one-story house fire early Friday morning.

According to OFR, 911 calls were first received at 1:50 a.m. when passersby reported flames from an enclave in the 4000 block of NW Blitchton Rd.

Responding units arrived to find heavy smoke billowing from the windows of the engulfed structure. Within one minute of arrival, firefighters doused the flames.

Units quickly responded to the scene to find a one-story house engulfed in flames, with heavy smoke coming from the windows.

Fire crews splashed water on the flames within one minute, extinguishing the intense flames.

A primary and secondary search confirmed the house was vacant and unoccupied. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
