OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) crews responded to a structure fire in the 3600 block of SE 12th Place at approximately 10:39 p.m. Sunday evening. Upon arrival, firefighters found a single-story home with visible smoke and flames coming from the rear of the residence.
The fire, which began on the back porch, quickly spread into the soffit and extended into the attic. Firefighters worked swiftly to extinguish the flames in the patio area. However, the fire’s spread into the attic required additional measures. Crews pulled down the ceiling in the main living area to access the affected space and extinguish the flames.
