As one of the oldest festivals of its kind in the United States, Georgefest is a beloved tradition, bringing the community together for a weeklong event filled with patriotic pride, family fun, and spectacular entertainment.

A Festival Like No Other

For over a century, Georgefest has been a staple of Lake County, and 2025 marks another exciting chapter in this legacy. Whether you’re a longtime festival-goer or planning your first visit, this year’s event promises something for everyone!

Expect a thrilling parade, live music performances, delicious food vendors, and an exciting carnival packed with rides and attractions. Families can enjoy interactive activities, including a kid-friendly zone, arts and crafts, and a fireworks extravaganza.

“For families in Eustis, Georgefest is a tradition,” says Eustis Events & Communications Director Miranda Muir. “Residents remember coming to the parade with their grandparents and are now bringing their grandchildren to enjoy the festivities.”

Event Highlights

  • Carnival Rides and Games: Enjoy a variety of rides and classic carnival games.
  • Bass Tournament: Anglers compete for prizes and bragging rights.
  • Running of the Georges 5K: Kicking off on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at 8 a.m., early registration is $25, increasing to $30 on race day.
  • Kids Fun Run: A one mile run at 10 a.m. on Feb. 8 benefiting the Youth Scholarship Program.
  • Dog Jog: A fun-filled jog for pet lovers and their furry companions.
  • Parade: A vibrant showcase of creative floats, marching bands, and community spirit.

Live Entertainment

  • Point of Grace: Performing at the kick-off concert on Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m.
  • Love and Theft: Playing on Feb. 20, at 7 p.m.
  • Jo Dee Messina: Performing on Feb. 21, at 8 p.m.
  • Robert Randolph & the Family Band: Closing the festival on Feb. 22, at 7:30 p.m.

Special Attraction: Duke the Duck

This year, Georgefest introduces “Duke,” the world’s largest rubber duck, over six stories tall and weighing more than 11 tons.

“We are really looking forward to hosting the World’s Largest Rubber Duck in Ferran Park!” shares Muir.

“When we came across the opportunity to host the duck, we just knew it would be a hit with visitors of all ages,” Muir says. “Partnering with Duke Energy has been wonderful, and we cannot wait to see it come to life.”
