MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), in collaboration with multiple law enforcement agencies, arrested three suspects last week in connection with out-of-county murder investigations.

On Jan. 29, MCSO’s Intelligence Unit, along with the Ocala Police Department (OPD) Intelligence Unit, the U.S. Marshals Florida-Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team (UDEST), apprehended 26-year-old Zafarri Francis at a residence on NE 28th Court. Francis, a suspect in a homicide case, had multiple felony warrants out of Hudson County, New Jersey, including theft, receiving stolen property, and firearm-related charges. He was taken into custody without incident. After his arrest, Hudson County authorities issued an additional warrant for murder.

The following day, MCSO deputies located a stolen vehicle linked to a Baldwin County, Alabama, homicide investigation. The vehicle was spotted in Reddick, leading deputies to attempt a traffic stop in the 4700 block of NW 155th Street. The driver, 22-year-old Zachri Frazier, fled at high speed but was apprehended shortly after in the 2900 block of NW 155th Street. Frazier was charged with multiple offenses, including fleeing to elude, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and providing a false ID to law enforcement. Further investigation confirmed his connection to the Baldwin County homicide.

On Jan. 31, MCSO and OPD Intelligence Units, along with the U.S. Marshals, arrested 22-year-old Dieuseul Charlemon at a residence on SE 169th Lane. Charlemon had multiple warrants from Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties for charges including first-degree murder, armed burglary, and weapons violations. He was also found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at the time of his arrest.

Francis, Frazier, and Charlemon remain in custody at the Marion County Jail while awaiting extradition.
