BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – It’s not often you get to see a point-of-view perspective through the lens of a firefighter, especially when they’re in the middle of a job.
Thanks to some nifty camera work by the Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) team, that rarity suddenly became a reality.
Video footage from an MCFR fireman’s bodycam captured the dispatch to a shed fire near the 6500 block of SE 111th Place, in Belleview, on Friday, March 7.

The video begins with the firefighter driving towards the shed fire, with large clouds of smoke acting as a beacon to its location. It then cuts to the fireman arriving on scene and jumping out of his emergency vehicle, unraveling a large fire hose before carrying it towards the shed. With nearby houses only a few feet away, firemen had to act quickly to extinguish the blaze.
The video cuts just before the firemen extinguish the blaze, but photos depict a before and after the fire’s destruction.

MCFR reports that the fire was deemed “under control” just eight minutes after being dispatched.
