MCFR reports two dogs died in the fire, while an occupant of the home was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
SILVER SPRINGS, FL (352today.com ) – A Silver Springs structure fire claimed the life of two dogs, Marion County Fire Rescue (MCFR) reports.
MCFR crews were dispatched to the 18600 block of SE 22nd Lane on Tuesday morning to investigate reports of a mobile home fire.
They arrived on scene to “heavy” flames and smoke coming from the home.

Crews worked to attack the aggressive fire, and were able to extinguish it quickly.
While searching inside for occupants, rescuers say they came across two dogs, both of which were deceased.
Rescuers were able to save an occupant of the home, and transported them to a nearby hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

MCFR says no firefighters were injured on the scene. The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation.
