OCALA, FL (352today.com)—For the eighth year running, two prominent hospitals in the Ocala area are being recognized for their accomplishments in patient safety.
HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital have both earned the 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades, the No. 1 site Americans use to find doctors and hospitals in their area.
Debra Gradick, a senior physician consultant at Healthgrades, highlights the two hospitals attention to detail when it comes to patient care.
“As 2025 Patient Safety Excellence Award recipients, HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital consistently put the well-being of their patients and staff at the forefront, setting a high standard for patient safety nationwide,” said Gradick.

This achievement places both facilities in the top 10% of hospitals nationwide for patient safety.
In addition, both hospitals were recently named one of America’s 250 Best Hospitals, which places them in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for clinical excellence.
The hospitals have also received numerous accolades for their exceptional performance in orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, spinal surgery, prostate surgery, and joint replacement surgery.
