OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Earlier this month, the 352today team had the joy of meeting Kisses, a lovable pup from the Humane Society of Marion County (HSMC). Kisses has since found her forever home. This week, we were thrilled to welcome her sister, Hershey’s, for a visit.
Hershey’s, a 3-year-old Mountain Dog mix, is basically Kisses’ twin – just as sweet, but with a braver spirit. Weighing in at 78 pounds, she’s a big bundle of love who wasted no time exploring her surroundings and charming everyone she met.
Austin Burnett from HSMC describes Hershey’s as delightfully silly and endlessly enthusiastic. “She doesn’t know anything else except how to love,” he shared. Hershey’s is playful with other dogs, gentle with cats, and ready to bring joy to the right home.

Even if you’re not looking to adopt right now, you can still support pups like Hershey’s at HSMC’s 2nd Annual Dog Mom 5k Walk/Run – dog dads welcome too! Lace up your sneakers and leash up your furry friends to celebrate National Dog Mom Day with either a 5k or 1 mile loop.
Who knows? One of HSMC’s adoptable dogs attending might just be your paw-fect addition.
Participants will receive a commemorative shirt and a finisher medal with their registration. Sign up today at: giveffect.com/campaigns/37188-dog-mom-5k.
