OCALA, FL (352today.com) – A longtime hometown business is expanding once again, bringing more jobs, investment, and innovation to Ocala’s busy SR 200 corridor.
The Ocala Metro Chamber and Economic Partnership held a groundbreaking ceremony May 13 at the Jenkins Automotive Volvo/Subaru site on SR 200.
“We currently have 20 car dealerships in Florida, and this will be number five and six in Ocala,” said Thomas Formanek, Jenkins Automotive Group president and CEO. “We’re real excited about the Ocala market, this is where we call home. Our headquarters is here in Ocala. This particular construction project is very special to us.”
Jenkins Automotive Group has another project going on in Citrus County, where they’re separating a Lincoln store from a Ford store in Homosassa Springs, and that construction will be going on concurrently with the undertaking on SR 200.
