Discovery Center New Exhibit Opening Day (May 24)
- What: Be one of the first to check out the Discovery Center’s newest exhibit, Bug Squad. Kids will have the opportunities to experience an immersive world where bugs are fictitious superheroes inspired by factual science with hands-on activities throughout.
- When: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Mount Dora Sweet Corn Festival (May 24)
- What: Celebrate all things sweet corn at this festival which will feature a corn-on-the-cob eating contest, cornbread cook-off, games, food vendors, kid’s activities, concert performances, and more.
- When: Saturday from noon to 7 p.m.
- Where: Elizabeth Evans Park; 100 N Donnelly Street, Mount Dora
- Cost: Kids 4-9 years old are $10, ages 10+ are $20 online and $25 at the gate
Marion County Memorial Day Ceremony (May 26)
- What: Gather to honor fallen heroes during this legacy ceremony at the Ocala-Marion County Veterans Memorial Park.
- When: Monday at 10 a.m.
- Where: 2601 E. Fort King Street, Ocala
- Cost: Free
