Deputies seize cocaine, oxycodone, and over $11,000 after foot chase ends in arrest.
MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A man is in custody following a pursuit through Silver Springs Shores that led to a drug seizure and arrest, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
Deputies say the incident began when a black Cadillac fled from Deputy Stringer during a patrol in the area. A short time later, Detective Peterson located the vehicle and initiated a pursuit. The vehicle became disabled, and the driver, identified as Harry Gregg, fled on foot into a wooded area.
MCSO says that Detective Peterson deployed a Taser and was able to apprehend Gregg.
MCSO says 97.5 grams of cocaine, 98 oxycodone pills, and $11,430 in cash were recovered during the investigation. Gregg was transported to the Marion County Jail.
