LEESBURG, FL (352today.com) – A Lake County man is facing charges after deputies found nearly 30 grams of Methamphetamine in his car.

Deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office who were patrolling the area on June 15 say they observed a white Oldsmobile fail to stop completely at a red light.

LCSO says the driver turned right onto County Road 473 from County Road 44 in Leesburg without coming to a complete stop.

Following a traffic stop, deputies identified the man as 51-year-old Christopher Crissinger. According to LCSO, Crissinger was recently placed on Probation for Possession of Fentanyl.

A K-9 deputy responded to the scene and walked his dog around the vehicle, where the K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics.

Following a search, deputies uncovered a clear plastic baggie containing a white, crystal-like powder in Crissinger’s front left shorts pocket, along with an additional clear plastic baggie containing a white, rock-like substance.

According to LCSO, the white, crystal-like powder weighed approximately 29.04 grams and tested positive for methamphetamine. The white, rock-like substance weighed approximately 2.03 grams and tested positive for cocaine.

Crissinger was placed under arrest for Trafficking Methamphetamine Over 14 grams and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

He was transported to Lake County Jail, where he awaits a court date.
