OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Itโs a classic summer week in the 352 with hot, muggy afternoons and a good chance of pop-up storms each day. While thatโs nothing new for Florida this time of year, thereโs a system off the Southeast coast that could shake things up just in time for the Fourth of July.
Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center are keeping an eye on a possible area of low pressure that may develop later this week. Right now, the chances of it turning into anything serious are low, but it could still bring rain or travel delays heading into the holiday weekend.

Monday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2 p.m., then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., then showers and thunderstorms likely after 5 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Tuesday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 11 p.m., then a chance of showers between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
