MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A 27-year-old man from Citra was killed Friday evening in a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The crash happened around 6:10 p.m. on June 27 at the intersection of NE County Road 315 and NE 225th Street. Troopers say a passenger vehicle made a left turn into the path of the motorcycle, causing the motorcycle to collide with the car.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, a 34-year-old woman from Callaway, Virginia, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by FHP.
