Authorities say Destin fled the scene but was quickly located and arrested after allegedly firing a shot during a domestic disturbance.
MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – A convicted felon is back behind bars after allegedly firing a gun during a disturbance inside a Marion County home, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).
MCSO says that Corporal Tripp responded to a shots-fired call in the 5400 block of Pecan Road. The investigation revealed that Hunter Destin fired a gun while inside a bedroom at the residence and fled the scene before deputies arrived.
Destin was found a few houses away and detained. Inside the home, MCSO says that deputies discovered a hole in a dresser and a spent round from the firearm.
Because Destin is a convicted felon, he is not allowed to legally possess firearms. He was arrested and transported to jail.
