CITRUS COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Two men are behind bars after they are accused of shooting at a residence while multiple were standing outside of the home.

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) says deputies arrested Christopher Thatcher and Avery Jones.

Deputies say a resident was not happy with Thatcher’s speed driving through the neighborhood. They say Thatcher, as well as Jones, who was riding in the passenger seat, got in an argument with the resident.

After, the two left to get two guns and went back to the victim’s home. The sheriff’s office says both men fired multiple shots and then drove away. Deputies say multiple people were outside of the home during the incident.

During the time of the shooting, deputies say Jones was sitting in the bed of the truck, fell out of the vehicle and then took off on foot.

He was later taken into custody.

“It is truly infuriating when individuals don’t follow laws and endanger our residents,” said Sheriff Mike Prendergast. “I strongly encourage our citizens to call and report suspicious or illegal actions such as this to our agency as these situations can escalate quickly.”

He says no one was injured during the shooting.

Jones was charged with four counts of aggravated assault and for knowingly/willfully discharging a firearm from a vehicle within 1,000 feet of a person.

Thatcher was charged with four counts of aggravated assault, discharging a firearm in public and shooting/throwing deadly missiles into dwellings, vessels or vehicles.

Jones is being held on a $9,000 bond, and Thatcher is being held on a $19,000 bond.
