OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Klondike’s life started in a way that’s unforgettable for most staff members at the Humane Society of Marion County (HSMC). Born right in the front office after his mother arrived at the shelter, he’s been surrounded by a caring and loving staff. Now, this sweet 6-month-old is ready to share that love with a forever family of his own.
Klondike is the kind of pup who can brighten any room. Curious, cuddly, and fully of energy, this 41-pound mixed breed has a gentle soul and a playful heart.
He was adopted once as a younger puppy but returned through no fault of his own due to financial hardships. Now, he’s hoping for that second chance.
Quick to play and connect with people, Klondike was a joy to be around. Once he eagerly met everyone at the North Central Florida Media office, he was happy to settle into a lap for a quick snooze.

While he still has some basic training needs to be met and is learning boundaries with small animals like cats, he is full of potential. He’s expected to grow into a medium-to-large dog, around 65 pounds when fully grown.
If you’re looking for a lovable, goofy, and affectionate companion who’s ready to grow with you, Klondike is waiting to meet you. You can come by the shelter, say hello, and let this cuddle bug steal your heart at the HSMC from 10 AM to 6 PM every day but Sunday. The shelter is located at 701 NW 14th Road in Ocala.
