OCALA, FL (352today.com) – The U.S. Forest Service has announced that a safety perimeter will be activated on July 29 in the Ocala National Forest during scheduled U.S. Navy training at the Pinecastle Range Complex.
Live and inert bombing scheduled
The Navy plans “blow in place” bombing exercises at the following times:
- 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The exercises may result in temporary displacement of wildlife. Drivers in and around the Ocala National Forest are urged to use caution and remain alert for animals crossing roadways.
Public safety and noise advisory
Residents and visitors are advised to observe all posted signage and follow safety guidance in the area. Items that may attract wildlife should be secured to prevent interaction with displaced animals.
