OCALA, FL (352today.com) – CBL Properties has purchased the Paddock Mall in Ocala from Washington Prime Group for an undisclosed amount, according to a company release issued from Ohio.
The property was last appraised at just over $40 million.
Opened in 1980, the Paddock Mall spans approximately 550,000 square feet and is home to more than 90 stores and restaurants. The mall is anchored by JCPenney, Macy’s and Belk. A fourth anchor space, previously occupied by Sears, is currently being redeveloped into the Paddock Market.
As one of the region’s key retail centers, the Paddock Mall serves as a central shopping and dining destination for Ocala and surrounding communities. CBL Properties has not yet announced any future plans for the site.
