OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Enjoy the cooler weather this weekend with a walk around one of Ocala’s premier destinations, Silver Springs State Park.
Participants will get the chance to meet Marion County Animal Services (MCAS)’s adorable adoptable dogs while getting in some exercise together.
The monthly MCAS Pack Walk event will be held this Sunday morning, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., allowing ample time for a relaxing stroll down the park’s winding paths. Park admission is just $2 per person, and there is no additional cost to participate in the Pack Walk.
All dogs in the Pack Walk are ready for adoption. If you happen to meet your new best friend, you can adopt or become a foster right there at the park. MCAS adoption fees are “Name Your Price” during the month of October.
MCAS will post any additional information on Facebook as the event nears. You can also find information on other adoption events, like the recent Bark in the Park expo.
Want to adopt but can’t make it to the walk? MCAS is open for pet visitation on Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
