OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Marion County Fire and Rescue will be increasing their presence and services as a result of the Marion County Board of County Commissioners resolution to adopt the budget for the forthcoming fiscal year at the final public hearing for the budget on Sept. 22 at the McPherson Governmental Campus Auditorium.

As a result of the budget approval for fiscal year 2025-2026, new units will be added into service at East Marion Fire no. 4 and Silver Springs Station no. 17, and three medic units will be relocated, one to Golden Ocala Station no. 20, Rainbow Springs no, 22 and Friendship Station no. 21.

Renovations are currently in the process of being completed on Orange Station no. 13, and once finished, the station will house an advanced life support engine company, and will be staffed by an officer, driver engineer and firefighter.
