BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – The City of Belleview is pleased to announce the upcoming rollout of its new CivicSend Notification System, beginning at the end of December 2025. The system is designed to significantly enhance how residents, businesses, and community partners receive timely information from the city.

The transition to CivicSend follows recent feedback provided to the Belleview City Commission regarding concerns from residents about missed water bills, late reminders, and delays in receiving important updates. In response, the Commission requested that City Administrator Mariah Moody evaluate improved communication solutions to better support the community.

After a comprehensive review, Belleview has adopted CivicSend, a communication tool offered through the city’s website service provider, CivicPlus. CivicSend will allow users to register for free, customizable notifications on a wide range of topics including:

  • Utility bill reminders
  • Emergency notices and severe weather alerts
  • Construction and infrastructure updates
  • Community events and activities
  • City meetings and public notices
  • General announcements from the City of Belleview

Upon registering, users may choose to receive updates via email, text message, and/or automated voice calls, depending on personal preference. Participants may opt out at any time. There is no charge from the city for using the program; however, standard message rates may apply based on individual cellular carriers.

Mayor Christine Dobkowski emphasized the importance of improving communication citywide: “Clear, timely communication is essential as Belleview continues to grow. The introduction of CivicSend will make it easier for residents and businesses to stay informed and connected. We want our community to feel confident that they’re receiving the updates they need, when they need them.”

City Administrator Mariah Moody highlighted the practical benefit the system provides: “CivicSend gives us the tools to communicate more efficiently and directly with our residents. Whether it’s a utility reminder, an emergency notice, or an update on city services, this system will add reliability and convenience with registration being as easy as texting a keyword to the city. Our team is committed to making communication easier and more accessible for everyone.”

The City of Belleview encourages all residents, business owners, and community stakeholders to register for notifications beginning in December. Sign-up instructions will be available on the City’s official website, at all city offices, city-sponsored events and on social platforms (Facebook/Instagram) at @cityofbelleview.
