BELLEVIEW, FL. (352today) — The City of Belleview is pleased to announce the continuation of “Light Up Belleview: The Mayor’s Christmas Decorating Contest,” an initiative led by Mayor Christine Dobkowski to encourage community pride and holiday spirit throughout the city.

All Belleview residents and businesses located within city limits are invited to participate by decorating the exterior of their properties for the Christmas season. No formal registration is required.

Participation details

  • Eligibility: Residential and commercial properties within the Belleview city limits
  • Display Deadline: Decorations should be in place and illuminated by Saturday, Dec. 20
  • Registration: No registration is necessary; all qualifying properties will be considered

On the evening of Saturday, December 20, Mayor Dobkowski will tour the city to view the decorated properties and select four winners.

Each winner will receive:

  • An official certificate of recognition from the City of Belleview
  • A gift card in appreciation of their efforts to enhance the community’s holiday atmosphere

Mayor Christine Dobkowski emphasized the importance of community participation during the holidays, stating: “Every light, every decoration, and every bit of holiday cheer shared by our residents helps make Belleview a special place to celebrate the season. I look forward to seeing our neighborhoods and business districts shine as we come together to create a welcoming and festive environment for all.”

Robert Vass, Community Engagement Liaison for the City of Belleview, added: “This contest remains an opportunity for residents and businesses to showcase their creativity while contributing to a bright and joyful atmosphere throughout the city. We encourage everyone to participate and help make this holiday season memorable for our community and visitors alike.”
