OCALA, FL. (352today) – With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, Marion County Animal Services happily presents Naomi, a sweet girl looking for a forever home.
Naomi is a 5-year-old border collie mix filled with energy and love. Her soft fur and adorable smile are enchanting to anyone who may meet her. Her favorite hobbies include playing with squeaky toys, jumping in the pool, getting the zoomies, and practicing her cues. Naomi knows how to sit, shake, speak and is easily trainable.
This love bug was found as a stray in August 2025 at a Walmart parking lot. Since then, Naomi has struggled to get used to life in the shelter. She may be nervous around other dogs, but with time and space to play, she is able to come out of her shell. Naomi’s ideal home would be an active one that is willing to continue her training and give her loving space to bloom into a happy pup.
Interested individuals can visit Naomi at Marion County Animal Services, located at 5701 SE 66th St., Ocala, or call 352-671-8700.
For February, adoptions are $14 in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Staying in the romantic spirit, guests can participate in Love at First Bark, an event where individuals can fill out a form of their prefrences and they will be matched with a pup for a blind date. Guests may choose to give their blind pup date a forever home.
