BELLEVIEW, FL (352today.com) – The City of Belleview hosted a Homeless Task Force meeting on Jan. 22, 2026, at Belleview City Hall. More than 25 organizations attended, representing faith-based groups, nonprofit agencies, service providers, and other community partners.
During the meeting, participating organizations outlined the services and resources they provide. The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration, improving communication among providers, and building a coordinated alliance to better direct and deliver services to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Attendees identified opportunities to reduce duplication of efforts, address service gaps, and improve pathways for connecting individuals with appropriate resources. Continued coordination and regular communication were recognized as essential to maximizing community impact.
Following the meeting, participants toured the Lake County S.A.L.T. Homeless Outreach Shower Trailer, which was on-site. The mobile shower unit provides hygiene services as part of outreach efforts supporting individuals experiencing homelessness.
The Homeless Task Force will continue meeting on the fourth Thursday of each month at 1 p.m. in the Belleview City Hall Commission Room. Community organizations and service providers interested in participating are encouraged to contact the city for more information.
