GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – The Florida Gators football team is looking to redeem themselves against Arkansas after a tough loss in their rivalry game against Georgia.

The Gators are back in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium this Saturday, Nov. 4, and say they are aware some changes need to be made to get back on track for the rest of the season.

“I believe in this group, I think we’re still searching for consistency, we’re still trying to put the best performances together from all parts of our team, ultimately that’s the goal,” said Head Coach Billy Napier.

Florida has suffered three losses this season but compares well to Arkansas with their 2-6 record. Napier says he’s looking past that.

“This will not be easy Saturday, I know the record may indicate that, but you turn the tape on this group, this group can play,” said Napier.

Shemar James, a sophomore and linebacker for the Gators, suffered a season-ending injury. James was a significant player for the defense – Coach Napier says their depth and talent on defense will help make up for the loss.

Scooby Williams, another linebacker for the team says they can count on the depth as well.

“That’s what we got guys for, to fill in his role, some big shoes to fill, but I know with our coaches, with our team, and just the whole plan, they’re going to be ready to develop and fill his shoes,” said Williams.

According to Gators football, Florida will be eligible for a bowl game if they can secure a win over the Razorbacks. They’ll need all the support they can get. Wear black to cheer on your Gators as they’ll be in their all-black uniforms.

Kickoff is at 12 p.m. eastern time.
