OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Engines growled and guitars screamed Saturday night as more than 100 motorcycles lined the parking lot of Four Smokes Southern BBQ for a high-energy Bike Night that mixed chrome, community and a little dental humor. From Harley-Davidsons to Indians, riders showed off their machines while guests gathered for food, raffles and a live performance that truly had some “bite.”

The April 4, 2026, event, organized by Shane Spicer, owner of Infidels Ink Tattoo Art, aimed to launch a bike night at the Paddock Market eatery while supporting a local Ocala family in need. The tattoo shop sponsored the event and raffled off two $200 tattoo gift cards, adding to the evening’s draw.

Headlining the night was Dentallica, a Metallica tribute band known for its tongue-in-cheek dental theme and hard-hitting sound. Part of their “Drill ‘Em All” Pulling Teeth Tour, the group delivered a set packed with Metallica covers and crowd favorites. Despite the playful branding, the musicianship was serious–drummer Phillip Allen powered the set on Roland V-Drums, while guitarists James Castaldo and Dr. Simon Amir shredded alongside vocalist Dr. Jamie Amir, who performed using an ESP LTD James Hetfield Snakebyte guitar.

The band, which formed in 2018, has been steadily building its presence, with Castaldo joining about a year ago. Saturday’s performance marked their third or fourth show, following a previous appearance at O’Malley’s Alley. Adding to the novelty, the group’s vocalist even trains with a vocal coach who is also a dentist–a fitting detail for a band that blends heavy metal with dental flair.

Festivities kicked off at 6 p.m., with the band taking the stage around 7:30 p.m., drawing a crowd that filled the lot and spilled into the restaurant. Guests enjoyed barbecue, drinks and a lively atmosphere that organizers hope will become a staple in Ocala’s local scene.

As the final riffs faded and bikes rolled out into the night, the event left behind more than just tire tracks – it set the foundation for a new community tradition. With roaring engines, ringing guitars and a cause behind it, Bike Night at Four Smokes proved it has the potential to keep Ocala smiling–no appointment necessary.
