GAINESVILLE, FL (352today.com) – A mix of music, art and immersive experiences will take over downtown Gainesville as the Big: Culture & Arts Festival returns this weekend, April 10-12, 2026, bringing together artists and audiences from across Florida and beyond.
The three-day festival will span multiple locations throughout downtown Gainesville, with events moving between spaces as disparate as eclectic retailer How Bazar and the festival’s main outdoor grounds.
Organizers describe the event as a grassroots, community-built festival designed to celebrate creativity across disciplines, blending street culture with a modern, immersive approach to performances and visual art.
Festivities kick off Friday with a block party-style opening across several downtown venues, followed by a full-scale festival day Saturday featuring multiple stages, art installations and interactive experiences. Programming will conclude Sunday with a more relaxed closing day centered on music and community gatherings.
More than 60 artists are expected to perform throughout the weekend, spanning genres from hip-hop and R&B to electronic, indie and jazz. In addition to live music, the festival will include a wide range of attractions such as circus performers, a fashion show, a car show, art workshops and a drive-in theater experience.
Tickets are sold in tiers, with general admission passes starting around $45 and increasing as availability changes. VIP passes, starting at approximately $100, offer additional perks including access to an exclusive lounge, specialty experiences and premium viewing opportunities.
The event is open to all ages, with children 5 and under admitted free with general admission. Organizers note the festival will take place rain or shine.
As one of Gainesville’s most dynamic arts events, the festival aims to create a space where music, visual art and community intersect, offering attendees a fully immersive array of cultural experiences in the heart of the city.
