MARION COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – Motorists are advised that the southbound I-75 on-ramp from U.S. HWY 27 and the southbound I-75 off-ramp to State Road (SR) 40 will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2026, for milling and resurfacing. The following detours will be in effect:

Detour information for U.S. HWY 27:

  • Motorists on U.S. 27 who wish to travel south on I-75 will be directed to travel east on U.S. 27, south on Northwest 27th Avenue, then west on State Road (SR) 40 to access southbound I-75 from the SR 40 interchange.

Detour information for SR 40:

  • Motorists traveling southbound on I-75 who wish to access SR 40 should exit instead at SR 200 (Exit 350), proceed east on SR 200, and turn north on Southwest 27th Avenue to get to SR 40.

This work is part of the Moving I-75 Forward project, which covers more than 30 miles between State Road 44 in Sumter County and S.R. 326 in Marion County. Improvements include the addition of an auxiliary lane in both directions, multiple bridge replacements, and interchange enhancements.
