CITRUS COUNTY, FL (352today.com) – The weekend marks the opening of the Celebrate the Art of Photography Exhibit at the Art Center of Citrus County in partnership with the Art Center Shutterbugs. Explore a variety of photos framed in the art center from a variety of photographers to celebrate National Photography Month.
Photographers from around the county were invited to insert up to two framed photos to the Art Center of Citrus County on Saturday, April 25 for a chance to see their artwork displayed in the exhibit. They followed guidelines with each photo taken within the last two years and no A.I. generated artwork. Following submission, all chosen photos set for display will be revealed during the Art Center’s opening reception.
The opening reception for the exhibit will take place on Friday, May 1 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. where guests will have the opportunity to meet the photographers and take first looks at the exhibit. The framed pieces will be on display from Friday, May 1 to Friday, May 29 for a month of continuous celebration. Throughout the exhibit, guests will have the opportunity to vote their favorite piece for the people’s choice winner while exploring the various photos. Following the exhibit, awards will be presented for first, second and third place with an additional award for the people’s choice winner.
Throughout the duration of the exhibit, there will be additional photography-themed events for enthusiasts to enjoy. This includes a Camera Club meeting on May 4 with a photography contests and presentation by Judy Boyd. There will also be an educational workshop on May 17 from 12-2 p.m. with more details to come.
