OCALA, FL (352today.com) – Seven people, including four children, were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash in Ocala on Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.

The crash happened around 4:07 p.m. at the intersection of NW Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. and NW 22nd St. Emergency crews arrived to find two SUV’s involved – an Infiniti and a Buick – with multiple people needing medical attention.

Officials said a total of seven patients were transported to local hospitals, including three adults and four children. One of the children was classified as a trauma alert and taken for further evaluation due to the severity of the crash.

Authorities have not released additional details about the cause of the crash or the conditions of those involved. The incident remains under investigation.
